My doctoral research was in the field of surface science and the study of interactions of molecules on well characterized surfaces. This was a natural segue into developing etching technology and spectroscopic characterization techniques for the semiconductor industry. Most of my industrial research was on advanced memory devices, using molecules as storage or electrochemistry for resistive memory devices.
