I discovered a love of teaching chemistry through the graduate program at San Francisco State University. I have been teaching CHEM 180: Chemistry of Energy and the Environment at San Francisco State University since obtaining a master's degree with a project on electrospinning a polymer nanocomposite. I reside on the unceded ancestral territory of the Ramaytush Ohlone people. The indigenous people of the Bay Area are currently working to reclaim their land and protect it from the fossil fuel industry, an industry that is a major contributor to the climate crisis. You can learn more about the contribution of fossil fuels to the climate crisis in my CHEM 180 class
