Our paper in APL Materials has been published: Alloying effects on superionic conductivity in lithium indium halides for all-solid-state batteries. Graduated master's student Alysia Zevgolis is the lead author!
Students Vanessa, Alex, Andrew, and PI Nicole presented posters at the Gordon Conference in Ventura, CA.

Grants: NSF and SFSU's ORSP
We received news that we won a 3-year grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF). The project is titled "RUI: Disorder and bonding dynamics in superionic solids". SFSU's Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, ORSP, awarded us a 1-year grant.
New Members: Michael and Vanessa
Welcome Michael Ward and Vanessa Wei to our research group!
End of Year: Graduates and Awards
Alysia Zevgolis graduated with her master's degree and will start in the Chemistry Department at Georgetown University in the Fall of 2017. Thomaz Alves and Andrew Grieder graduated with their Bachelor's degrees. Congrats! Zerina Mehmedovic and Alex Hall recieved the Chemistry Summer Research Fellowship and the Beckman Fellowship, respectively!
Teaching grant: Affordable Instructional Materials
Nicole Adelstein and Rachel Small (another instructor at SFSU) won a grant to build a homework system for general chemistry offered on iLearn. Once implemented, homework will be free for students, significantly reducing their costs.
